THURSDAY WEATHER DISCUSSION (03/14/2024)

(OLNEY/NEWTON) We’ll have another day of warmer-than-normal weather conditions on this Thursday as we stay on the south side of that warm front lifting northward across the state. However, the first of two cold fronts is approaching and bringing with it a chance of showers and thunderstorms with most of the rain predicted to stay to our northwest and north until tonight when our downstate rain chances are more likely. Then a weak high pressure ridge will give a dry, but cloudy day on Friday, all to be followed by that second cold front moving through with windy conditions and cooler air moving in by Saturday night, plus the cooler air hangs around for Sunday into the first part of next week. Stay tuned for updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more forecast details.
