THURSDAY WEATHER DISCUSSION (06/27/2024)

(OLNEY/NEWTON) With the weak cold front moving through Illinois yesterday, there were some light amounts of rain in our downstate area, averaging under a half inch. And after some patchy fog this morning, we’ll have a mostly sunny sky on tap for this Thursday and lower humidity levels than a week ago. More clouds move in for a dry Friday, although an approaching cold front will give us some rain chances Saturday with most of the heavier amounts of rain expected further to the north. We’ll then dry out on Sunday and Monday with some cooler air moving in. Stay tuned for continued weather updates and always monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather information and forecast details.
