(OLNEY) in High School Softball yesterday –

Olney won at home, beating Fairfield, 12-2

the Lady Tigers outhit the visiting Lady Mules, 9 to 4

Kaiya Seessengood & Jaylen Gwyn combined for 8 strikeouts in the 5 inning game

Taylor Bloomer led Olney at the plate with a triple, single, an RBI, and 2 runs scored

Jaylen Gwyn doubled with 2 RBI, a stolen base, and 2 runs scored

Miranda Dowty, Clara Williams, & Stella Hines each had a 2 RBI hit and a stolen base

Addison McLaughlin had an RBI hit and Kennedy Knox had 2 RBI

the Lady Tigers are scheduled to play at Altamont tomorrow afternoon

Newton beat Hutsonville/Palestine on the road, 7-1

as the Lady Eagles outhit the host Lady Tigers, 8 to 3

Lexie Ghast was the winning pitcher, striking out 7 in the first 6 innings of work

Jacee Dhom led Newton at the plate with 2 home runs, 4 RBI, and 2 runs scored

Allie Hermann also homered with an RBI and 2 runs scored

Claire Probst had a 3-hit game with 2 RBI, a stolen base, and a run scored

Jorjia Reich doubled and singled with a walk, a stolen base, and a run scored

the (6-2) Lady Eagles are scheduled play Edwards County at Albion tomorrow
