(OLNEY) in Girls High School Golf yesterday –
one of the IHSA’s Class 1A Regional was at Colonial Golf Course near Sandoval
there were over 80 golfers competing from eighteen teams taking part
the top three teams advance to the Class 1A Sectional next Monday
including Carlyle (320), St. Anthony (332), and Teutopolis (339)
rounding out the top five were Centralia (345) and Effingham (346)
then Salem (355), Olney (435), Ramsey (450), Flora (473), Sandoval (489),
Vandalia (493), and Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville (515)
six other teams had no team scores with only individuals on the course
Newton, Robinson, Casey-Westfield, Dieterich, North Clay, and Altamont
among the individual players advancing to Monday’s Sectional at Monticello
Newton’s Peyton Lindley (10th) and Haley Ochs (17th)
none of the Olney Lady Tigers made the cut, but a job well done this season
