(OLNEY/NEWTON) With a frontal system moving across a portion of our downstate area this morning, we’ll have a mostly cloudy sky with some scattered and spotty rain showers until it all clears out. Then we’ll likely stay cloudy for the rest of the day, but still with some humid weather conditions. We’ll return to hot and humid weather conditions will sunshine tomorrow and through the rest of the work week and through the weekend as well. Stay tuned for updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for weather forecast details.
(LINCOLN/PADUCAH) The National Weather Service has a special weather statement in place, noting the extended period of hot and humid weather conditions expected for the rest of this work week, today through Friday, and even into the upcoming weekend as well. This will affect all of our downstate listening area with daily highs in the 90’s and heat index values around 100 degrees each day. Those working outdoors are reminded to drink plenty of water, wear loose-fitting & light-colored clothing, and take plenty of breaks out of the sunlight or in air-conditioned locations. Let’s use some common sense if outdoors.
