UPCOMING AREA ACTIVITIES

(OLNEY) Tickets will be available at the door next Tuesday night for the 7:00 concert with the Gentlemen’s Quartet at the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center at Olney Central College. The worldwide renowned musicians will be performing with a cello, guitar, bass, percussion, piano, and violin, plus some vocals. The general admission $25 tickets, $5 for students will be on sale a half hour before the performance at the ticket booth with plenty of seats and handicapped areas available. (OLNEY) The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Olney VFW Post is this coming Sunday afternoon at 4:00, with tickets on sale all this week, up until about 3:55 on Sunday. The Queen of Hearts ticket sales support the VFW Post Home, along with local Veterans and their families.

(OLNEY) The Olney VFW will host the St. Joseph School 8th Grade Fundraising “Spaghetti Dinner” this Sunday with serving from 11:00 to 1:00 with tickets on sale at the door at $8.00 per adult, children under 5 eat free. All are urged to help kick off Catholic Schools Week with great food and fellowship with proceeds to support all 8th grade activities at the St. Joseph School in Olney. It’s all prepared and sponsored by the Olney VFW and the VFW Auxiliary.

(OLNEY) The Olney VFW will host a fundraising breakfast this Saturday morning with serving from 7:00 to 10:30, featuring biscuits, gravy, pancakes, and drinks, all for a donation at the door. All proceeds will go to support the JROTC and the Tiger Battalion at RCHS in Olney.

(NEWTON) The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Newton American Legion Post 20 is this coming Friday night at 6:30, with the jackpot now sitting at $80,305. The Queen’s Menu will be a choice of fried chicken or salisbury steak with sides for $13.00 per person and serving starts at 5:00. Either dine in or carry out at 108 East Jourdan Street in Newton this Friday night.
