(OLNEY) The Olney VFW will have its next Queen of Hearts drawing coming up this Sunday afternoon at 4:00, with tickets on sale up until 3:55, and all open to the public. This week’s jackpot will be over $13,000 to the winner, if present. And remember, all the proceeds from the Queen of Hearts drawing goes to keep the Olney VFW open and to continue assisting all local Veterans, their families, and the Olney community. All are invited out this Sunday.
(NEWTON) The Newton American Legion Post 20 will host a Sunday Brunch this weekend with serving from 10:00 until 1:00 and an all-you-can-eat Brunch Buffet, including several hot bar items and a salad bar. The cost is $15.00 for adults and $6.00 for children age 10 and younger. That’s this Sunday & every other Sunday at 108 East Jourdan Street in Newton.

(OLNEY) The Richland County Farm Bureau is gearing up for its annual Pig & Swig event, coming up this Saturday night, from 4:00 in the afternoon until 12:00 midnight, at the Ironsides Bar, east of Parkersburg, along East Berryville Lane, in rural Richland County. Along with great food, drinks, and live music from The Andy King Band and Jake Perry, everyone’s invited. Tickets at the door for adults 21 and older will be $10.00 per person.
(NOBLE) It’s the annual Noble Chowder coming up this Saturday in the Noble Village Park. With serving to start at 11:00, there will be chowder for sale by donation, either by the bulk or bowl, plus a drive thru service will be offered as in years past on the east side of the park. Other food available will include fried chicken, pork burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, slaw, desserts, and drinks. Also the lap quilt and other raffle drawings will be held as tickets are still on sale this week at Village Hall, at the Tin Cup, or at P & J Market, formerly Noble Foods. Bring your lawn chairs, all the family, and enjoy the Noble Chowder this Saturday.
(FLORA) Axiom Gardens of Flora and the Road Riders For Jesus, Chapter 137, of Flora, are teaming up for the 2025 Rally For the Residents event. That’s this Saturday from 10:00 in the morning until 3:00 in the afternoon at 701 Shadwell Avenue in Flora. It will include plenty of food and drinks, a motorcycle show & motorcycle rodeo games, plus live music, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, a Veterans Flag presentation, and much more. All proceeds from the family friendly event will go to the Axiom Gardens Activity Department for the residents.
(CISNE) The annual Cisne Reunion begins this evening with the opening ceremonies and live entertainment on stage. Then its bingo tomorrow night along with all the respective queen pageants. Friday night will also feature more bingo and live music as well. Saturday’s activities include a community breakfast, a fun run and 5K run/walk, a car & tractor show, an afternoon parade followed by a tractor drive and more live music that night. It all wraps up Saturday night with more bingo & live music. All at the Cisne Reunion in Wayne County.
