USDA ILLINOIS CROP PROGRESS REPORT (11/14/2023)

(Springfield) In yesterday’s USDA Illinois Crop Progress Report, there were 6.7 days suitable for field work on average last week. While the statewide average temperature was 49.5 degrees last week, 6.5 degrees above normal, Illinois’ precipitation averaged 0.03 inches last week, 0.68 inches below normal. As of Sunday, the state’s corn harvest is 95% complete and soybeans at 99% complete, both higher than the 5-year averages. The early winter wheat crop conditions around the state are rated at 4%poor, 23%fair, 55%good, and 18%excellent. Most all local farmers say they have finished up the 2023 fall harvest.
