(SPRINGFIELD) In the latest report, the USDA soybean production numbers came in at 4.26 billion bushels, with the harvested area at 80.4 million acres and a national record average yield of 53 bushels per acre, all slightly above trade expectations. While production was lower due to fewer harvested acres, the 2025 soybean yield was higher than the year before. In Illinois, the soybean yield was down 3.8% from November at 62.5 bushels per acre. The quarterly stocks on December 1st, 2025, at 3.29 billion bushels were up from 3.1 billion the year before in 2024.
