USDA RELEASES WINTER WHEAT CROP NUMBERS

(SPRINGFIELD) The USDA has issued numbers for the winter wheat crop, estimating U.S. farmers planted 32.99 million acres in 2025, slightly above trade expectations, but below the year before in 2024 when 33.15 million acres were seeded. Wheat ending stocks were pegged at 926 million bushels, up from 901 million last month in December, due to lower use. Meanwhile, the USDA says quarterly stocks for winter wheat came in at 1.68 billion bushels in December.
