USDA’S NASS 2025 CROP PLANS SURVEY

(SPRINGFEILD) As the 2025 crop production season is just around the corner, the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) will soon contact producers nationwide to determine their plans for the upcoming growing season. The NASS will next week mail out surveys to approximately 6,200 farmers across Illinois & Missouri, asking them to provide information about the types of crops they intend to plant in 2025, how many acres they intend to plant, and the amounts of grain & oilseed they store on their farms. Producers can respond online at agcounts.usda.gov or by mail, with those not responding by February 27th to be emailed a reminder or contacted for an interview. While all the information will remain confidential, the survey results will be published on March 31st, later this spring.
