WEDNESDAY WEATHER DISCUSSION (02/12/2025)

(OLNEY/NEWTON) As the second of three weather systems this week moves across Illinois by tonight, we’ll have plenty of clouds and our downstate area precipitation is expected to be mostly rain, although the chance of freezing rain and/or sleet is possible along or near the I-70 corridor with mostly snow north of that. As it all comes to an end later tonight, we will dry out with colder air moving in tomorrow and Friday. Then a warm front will bring us more rain chances Saturday as the third system moves through and that will be followed by more cold air on Sunday and into the first of next week. Stay tuned for weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather information and forecast details.
