(OLNEY) The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Olney VFW is coming up at 4:00 this coming Sunday afternoon, with tickets on sale up until 3:55. The jackpot will be over $4,400 to the winner, if present, and remember the drawing will be live on the VFW Facebook page. Also, a St. Patrick’s Day carry-in is this Sunday. Bring your favorite dish and join in.
(OLNEY) The Richland County Farm Bureau will host its 2025 “Farmers Share Breakfast” this Saturday morning at the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney, with serving from 7:00 to 10:00. The menu will include biscuits, gravy, pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, and drinks with the cost at only $1.00 per meal, a cost that represents the farmer’s share of the breakfast. All are invited out this Saturday morning to 700 North East Street.
(OLNEY) The Olney Knights of Columbus has another Friday night “Fish Fry” this weekend at the Olney City Park Community Building with serving from 5:00 to 7:00, or until sold out. With desserts by donation, the menu includes fried fish, hash brown patties, baked beans, corn, green beans, salad, and drink, with tickets at the door. $13.00 for adults or $8:00 for children age 12 and under. Either dine in or carry out. Proceeds from this Friday night will benefit the Richland County Senior Center. That’s this Friday night in the Olney City Park.
(OLNEY) The Olney VFW Auxiliary #4226 will host another “taco night” this Friday night with serving from 5:30 to 7:30, or until sold out, with the menu including tacos, taco salads, taco potatoes, and nacho platters, plus a bake sale and 50/50 drawing to benefit the RCHS After Prom. (NEWTON) The next Jasper County Queen of Hearts drawing is this Friday night at 6:30 at the American Legion Post 20 in Newton, with tickets on sale up until draw time, & a jackpot at $35,460. The Queen’s menu will be all-you-can-eat seafood buffet priced at $15 for adults and $6 for kids age 5 to 10 and serving at 5:00. That’s at 108 East Jourdan Street in Newton.
(CLAREMONT) The Claremont-Bonpas Fire Department and Claremont Village Board will again host all-you-can-eat fish fries at the Claremont Fire Department this weekend. That’s this Friday for lunch from 11:30 to 2:00 with fish, fries, hush pupplies, and slaw priced at $10 per adult, dine in or carry out. Then a dinner buffet Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 with fish, chicken, fish bites, fries, hush puppies salad bar, and sides at $15 per adult, $10 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for kids age 5 and under. $2.00 extra for dessert. All proceeds to support the Claremont-Bonpas Fire Department and the Claremont Village Park project.
