‘WHAT’S HAPPENING’ THIS WEEKEND (07/04-07/06/2025)

(BIBLE GROVE) It’s family fun, music, and entertainment this coming Sunday afternoon at Gym Bob’s Jamboree Show in Bible Grove, in northern Clay County. With the doors opening at 12:00 noon, all shows begin at 1:00, hosted by Mike Porter, Marsha Banning, and the Gym Bob’s Jamboree Band, plus this month features a special 50’s and 60’s Show. (OLNEY) The Olney VFW will have its next Queen of Hearts drawing coming up this Sunday afternoon at 4:00, with tickets on sale up until 3:55, and all open to the public. This week’s jackpot will be over $10,000 if the winner is present. All are encouraged to stop by Sunday.

(OLNEY) The Calvary Baptist Church will be serving pork burgers tomorrow at the Big R Store in Olney, from 10:00 to 2:00. All are invited out for good food all for a great cause.

(SAILOR SPRINGS) The Clay City/Sailor Springs American Legion has another first Saturday of the month breakfast this weekend with serving from 7:00 to 10:00 with all-you-can-eat biscuits, gravy, sausage, pancakes, and drinks, all for a donation at the door tomorrow morning in Sailor Springs, just off the Clay City/Dieterich Blacktop. All welcome to stop by and celebrate your July 4th weekend with the local Veterans and let them cook for you.

(OLNEY) The Cummins Municipal Band invites everyone out to the Olney City Park for a free patriotic performance tonight. The Independence Day Concert starts at 7:30 with the local musicians performing many patriotic favorites. Ice cream provided by Dairy Dee. All are urged to bring their lawn chairs & blankets. The fireworks display will follow at dusk.

(OLNEY) The Richland Heritage Museum Foundation will this year again host its annual “Old Fashion” Ice Cream Social this afternoon from 1:30 to 4:00 at the Heritage House Museum, at the corner of West

Elm Street and Kitchell Avenue in Olney. Includes free ice cream, cookies, cold drinks, plenty of musical entertainment, and tours of the facilities.
