(OLNEY) In Women’s Junior College Basketball from yesterday –
It was Quarter-Final action in the Region 24/District 16 Tournament, with all the games at the higher seeded team locations.
- Top-seeded Wabash Valley won by forfeit over 8th-seeded Shawnee
- 2nd-seeded Vincennes beat 7th-seeded Lincoln Trail, 96-54
- 3rd-seeded Southwestern Illinois beat 6th-seeded Rend Lake, 61-44
- 5th-seeded Olney Central (14-16) beat 4th-seeded John A. Logan, 54-51
(OCC led by Cortney Dove and Laney Hawkins each with 14 points)
The winners will meet in Semi-Final action tomorrow night at Lake Land College
- The OCC Lady Knights will face Wabash Valley at 5:00
- Then Southwestern Illinois will play Vincennes at 7:00
The championship game will be at 6:00 Thursday night at LLC, the winner goes to the NJCAA National Tournament out in Casper, Wyoming.
