(OLNEY) Illinois Extension is excited to announce the return of the 11th-annual Summer Twilight Series, a southern Illinois tradition that brings farmers, educators, and community members together to explore the diversity and innovation of local agriculture. The 2026 series offers four unique on-farm learning experiences throughout the growing season with each event highlighting a different farm or direct-market operation, offering attendees a close look at a wide range of production practices, marketing approaches, and innovative strategies shaping local agriculture. The summer programs are scheduled on Monday evenings, from 6:00 to 8:00.
- May 18 – Flower Girls Greenhouse, in Richview, south of Centralia, in Washington County, featuring bedding plants, cut flowers, hanging baskets, and much more
- June 22 – Edmison Acres & Highland Cattle, northwest of Johnsonville, in Wayne County, featuring farm marketing details, managing highland cows, and more
- July 20 – Pink Tiger Farm, south of Goreville, in Johnson County, featuring peppers, ginger, turmeric, value-added products, and much more
- August 17 – Friendly Farms, southwest of Eddyville, down in Pope County, featuring giant fall mums, pumpkins, homemade kettle corn, and much more
