(OLNEY) A fundraising Pork Loin Sale is underway for the next several days with all the proceeds to benefit the Mt. Gilead Church’s 2026 Guatemala Mission Trip coming up in July. With orders accepted now through Sunday, April 19th, folks can order a half pork loin for $30 with the pick up date set for the following Saturday, April 25th, at the Big R Store, beginning at 12 noon. The meat is being provided by The Smokin’ Pig with orders accepted on Facebook.

(OLNEY) The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Olney VFW Post is this coming Sunday afternoon at 4:00, with the $1.00 tickets on sale all this week and always open to the public. This week’s jackpot will be at least $16,854 to the winner, who must be present. All ticket sales proceeds support the VFW Post Home, along with local Veterans and their families.

(BIBLE GROVE) It’s the next scheduled Gym Bob’s Jamboree Show this weekend up in Bible Grove, in northern Clay County, with the doors opening at 12:00 noon this Sunday and showtime at 1:00. Hosted by Mike Porter, Marsha Banning, and Gym Bob’s Jamboree Band, this month’s special will feature a variety of great music. While not necessary, reservations can be made by calling 618-665-3956. (SAILOR SPRINGS) The Clay City/Sailor Springs American Legion Post 230 will have another fundraising breakfast this weekend with serving from 7:00 to 10:00 Saturday morning, featuring pancakes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and drinks, all for a donation at the door, plus carry outs are available. Also, the Legion will have its annual spring Meat Shoot, starting at 8:30 that morning, with remaining raffle tickets on sale at $10 per ticket or $25 for three tickets with chances to win one of three guns or three chances to win cash. Plus, vegetable soup will be served for lunch, starting at 10:00 that morning. That’s just off the Clay City/Dieterich Blacktop in Sailor Springs.

(OLNEY) It’s another “taco night” this weekend at the Olney VFW, sponsored by the Memorial VFW Auxiliary #4226, with serving Friday night from 5:30 to 7:30, or until sold out, including taco salad, tacos, nacho platters, and taco potatoes. Also, a 50/50 drawing and a bake sale with proceeds to benefit Richland County HOPE. (NEWTON) The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Newton American Legion Post 20 is this coming Friday night at 6:30, with the jackpot now sitting at $97,310. Plus Jimmy and Michael are firing up the grill with the Queen’s Menu including ribeye steak or pork loin sandwiches with chips. It’s dine in or carry out with serving to start at 5:00 and continuing until sold out with proceeds to help buy a new tent. All at 108 East Jourdan Street in Newton this Friday night.
