(SPRINGFIELD) The USDA recently sent notice to state and county FSA offices that the data deadline for base acre allocation May 15th, two weeks from today. One of the provisions secured in last July’s reconciliation bill was an additional 30-million base acre update to be allocated to farms based on their cropping history from 2019 through 2023, and a requirement that all owners be notified of their eligibility to receive additional base acres. All data will be pulled from CRM Farm Records and the Acreage History & Base Allocation software by the deadline.
