(NEWTON) The Orell Farley Foundation is now accepting applications for the annual grant cycle with forms available from the Peoples State Bank of Newton, which serves as Trustee of the Foundation. The Orell Farley Foundation supplements qualified organizations in only Jasper County that sponsors projects and activities that enhance public health, safety, recreation, and education for the use and enjoyment of the community. (LAWRENCEVILLE) This summer, Illinois Extension will hold a professional development Learning Institute in Lawrenceville that will be open to all Illinois school foodservice staff. The training will offer six hours of USDA Professional Standards credit at no charge with various topics to be covered. Scheduled for Tuesday, July 27th, at Lawrenceville High School, individual pre-registration is required as space is limited while lunch & light refreshments will be provided.
