(NEWTON) The 155th Jasper County Fair gets underway this weekend in Newton. While all 4-H entries were made last weekend, the exhibits will be on display tomorrow night from 5:00 to 7:00 and Saturday morning, followed by judging Saturday afternoon at 1:00. The first stage activity is Sunday night’s Queen Pageant, with the Jr. Miss, Pre-Teen, and Little Miss Pageants, all starting at 7:30. Then back-to-back nights of Harness Racing is at 6:30 on Monday and Tuesday, followed by livestock judging on Wednesday with the Pedal Tractor Pull that evening at 6:00 and the Whippoorwill Rodeo Wednesday night at 7:00. The 4-H Livestock Auction is Thursday at 3:00 with the Non-Sanctioned Tractor & Truck Pulls that night at 5:00. The popular Antique Farm Machinery Show runs from 11:00 to 2:00 Friday, followed by the Dairyland Donkey Races Friday night at 7:30. Then the ITPA Tractor Pull will wrap things up Saturday night at 7:00. The Carnival rides and games will be available next Tuesday through Saturday, plus all the great fair food and other activities.
