(EFFINGHAM) The Illinois State Police Troop 9 is continuing to investigate a fatal traffic crash that occurred at around 7:00 or 8:00 last night along Interstate 57 at milepost 173, located just south of Neoga. Most all traffic has been diverted at the I-57 split near Effingham since that time and I-57 remains closed until further notice. We’ll continue to monitor information from the Troop 9 Headquarters in Effingham for more details.
