(OLNEY) All are invited to a local Raised Bed Gardening Workshop coming up this Saturday morning, May 2nd, from 9:00 to 10:00, at the West Salem Community Garden, just behind the Village Hall at 106 East South Street in West Salem. All ages are welcome, but youth age 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. The free workshop will cover topics such as planning and designing raised beds, soil and water needs, preparing garden beds for spring, & companion planting fruits and vegetables with flowers. Led by Small Farms Educator Katie Bell and Master Gardener Jessica Bare, all are invited to learn more about the great alternative to a traditional garden, a chance to use less space for small-scale vegetable harvesting that’s more accessible.
