BOB KERANS GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT KICKED OFF YESTERDAY
The Annual Bob Kerans Tournament kicked off last night at Newton Community High School with the first two games of the four-team, round-robin competition.
- In the opening game, the host Lady Eagles defeated Flora, 52-19. Newton was led by Karasyn Martin with 18 points and Camryn Martin with 16 points.
- In the second game, Effingham triumphed over Altamont, 58-29.
The tournament continues tomorrow night with two more matchups:
- Effingham vs. Flora at 6:00 PM
- Newton vs. Altamont at 7:30 PM
The final three games of the tournament will be held Friday afternoon at NCHS.
