BULK TRASH DROP-OFF IN OLNEY THIS WEEKEND

(OLNEY) The City of Olney has its next Bulk Trash Drop-Off Event this coming Saturday from 8:00 to 2:00 (or until the dumpsters are full) in the Municipal Parking Lot at 217 North Fair Street, just east of the Eagles Lodge. With several dumpsters to be provided, city-wide residents are encouraged to use this opportunity to dispose of all residential bulk items, mostly at no cost.

ACCEPTABLE ITEMS

• furniture, grills, large toys, and metal

• mattresses & foundations that must be wrapped in plastic and sealed

• carpet that must be cut into four-foot sections

• tires (light truck, passenger car, or motorcycle – limit of only four tires per party

• small appliances and household goods with no CFC’s

• metal appliances with no CFC’s

• televisions, computers, & other electronics with EPA fees and cash only accepted

NON-ACCEPTABLE ITEMS

• no batteries, liquids, light bulbs, flammable or hazardous waste

• no landscape waste, albeit limbs, leaves, and/or garden waste

• no construction materials, such as shingles, drywall, concrete, insulation, etc….

That’s this Saturday from 8:00 to 2:00 at the 217 North Fair Street city parking lot.
