(SALEM) in Junior High Cross Country yesterday –
the Middle School did very well at the Class L Regional at Salem
as both the Cubs and Lady Cubs won their respective regional titles
therefore, both teams advance to the Class L State Meet at Du Quoin
BOYS
the Cubs beat out second place Carmi, 30 to 58 while Mt. Carmel was third at 84
Salem was fourth with 88 points, followed by Fairfield (128) and Nashville (147)
the Cubs were led by Aiden Hundley in 3rd place and Kinnick Funk in 4th place
then Konner Davis was 5th, Justin Souden was 8th, Dawson Goff was 10th,
Maddex McDowell was 12th, and Ryan Dehlinger was 13th
GIRLS
the Lady Cubs beat out second place Salem, 48 to 51 while Nashville was third at 83
Carmi was fourth with 114 points, followed by Mt. Carmel (115) and Fairfield (124)
the Lady Cubs were led by Alayna Rodgers in 5th place and Mylo Britton was 6th
then Maeven Feddes was 7th, Mackenzie Reeve was 12th, Ella Tait was 18th
Claire Steele was 21st, and Elizabeth Kinkade was 27th
the Class L State Cross Country Meet will be Saturday, October 18th, at Du Quoin
