(EFFINGHAM) Effingham County authorities are still investigating a standoff incident from last Friday that resulted in the man wanted for questioning taking his own life. It all took place at the TA Truck Stop in Effingham when police disabled a semi-truck with a suspect wanted in connection with a Michigan bank robbery. While the man remained holed up inside the truck cab, police tried for eight hours to negotiate his surrender until the death.
