(OLNEY) The Olney City Council met last night (03/11/2024) in regular session. The Council : approved the payment of all bills as presented : approved the $21,811 purchase of Bunker Gear for the Olney Fire Department : approved the agreement with Moran Economic Development LLC for the city’s Enterprise Zone application assistance worth $17,000 : approved a $5,000 grant in tourism funds to the 2024 Bluegrass Festival in Olney : approved yearly liquor licenses for both the Fireside and Vault Gaming Lounge : rejected a lake structure variance for a property on North Lakewood Road : agreed to rescind a February 12th, 2024, vote to apply for a FEMA Grant to purchase a new fire truck : approved slight rate increases for sewer service, garbage collection, and water service : approved miscellaneous rate increases for the Musgrove Aquatic Center : heard and reviewed the various reports from elected and appointed officials : discussed some of the funds associated with the proposed Fiscal Year 2025 City Budget : and after an executive session to discuss real property, negotiations, and personnel, approved a resolution for one year Health Insurance Premium Allocations for Non-Bargaining Employees provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield with a 9.24% increase : the next regular meeting for the Olney City Council will be March 25th, 2024.
