(Springfield) The Illinois Department of Public Health’s new awareness campaign is underway, reminding residents to vaccinate against the fall and winter triple threat of the Flu, COVID-19, and RSV. The campaign showcases everyday moments interrupted by a common triple threat symptom with the call to vaccinate, although the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state has been trending downward. (Springfield) The Illinois Department of Transportation will host a “Job Fair” tomorrow at its IDOT headquarters in Springfield. Representatives from numerous areas of the state agency will be there to discuss employment opportunities, plus staff from the Secretary of State’s office will answer questions on getting Commercial Drivers Licenses. (Springfield) With the state’s archery deer season continuing and the first three days of the firearm deer hunting season coming up this weekend, the Illinois Deer Donation Program is urging deer hunters to donate their harvested venison to help those in need. The meat is donated to food pantries in the sixteen (16) area counties of Jasper, Crawford, Clark, Cumberland, Effingham, Fayette, Clay, and nine (9) others to the North and Northwest.
