OLNEY’S BULK TRASH DROP-OFF EVENT

(OLNEY) The City of Olney is getting ready for a “Bulk Trash Drop-Off Event” coming up this Saturday, November 1st, from 8:00 to 2:00, or until full, in the City’s municipal parking lot, just east of the Eagles Lodge, at 217 North Fair Street. There will be several dumpsters available to City of Olney residents to dispose of various residential bulk items. Here’s the list of acceptable items that can be dropped off this coming Saturday, November 1st :

• furniture, grills, large toys, and metal

• mattresses & foundations (must be wrapped in plastic & sealed)

• small applicances, household goods, & metal applicances (must not contain CFC’s)

• carpet (must be cut into four foot sections)

• tires with a limit of four per party (light truck, passenger car, & motorcycle only)

• televisions, computers, & other electronics (EPA fees apply per item – cash only)

Here’s the list of items not accepted on the November 1st city drop off :

• landscape waste, construction material, batteries, liquids, light bulbs

• flammable and/or hazardous waste
