(OLNEY/NEWTON) As we warm up today with plenty of sunshine, an approaching cold front will drop across Illinois giving our downstate area a fairly decent chance of some rain, maybe a thunderstorm, tomorrow afternoon through Friday night. Then we’ll dry out for another dry and mild weekend. However, an unsettled period of weather is expected Sunday night through most all of next week, with daily rain chances, but not a total wash-out, plus the risk of some severe weather returns. Stay tuned for continued weather updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for more weather information and forecast details around the clock.
