(NEWTON) Time is running out to order mums in a fundraiser to support the Jasper County HCE Toys for Kids Program. In fact, orders must be placed before 12:00 noon tomorrow, on Friday, September 19th, with the mums to be delivered the following day, this Saturday morning, September 20th, between 9:00 and 11:00, at the Jasper County Extension Office in Newton. The $10.00 mums will be in 9 inch pots and five colors are available, including red, orange, yellow, white, and lavendar. With payment expected upon pick up, orders can be placed ASAP by calling or texting Connie (Elliott) at 217-259-9301, again, that’s by 12 noon tomorrow. All proceeds will benefit the program which provides Christmas gifts to over 200 Jasper County youth in December. Again, place those orders by calling/texting 217-259-9301.
