the Class 1A State Tournament began at 16 suburban sites in Chicago
the two Olney Tigers that qualified in the singles competition were in action
Carter Seaman won his first match over a Glen Ellyn athlete in three sets
the RCHS junior lost his second match to an Oak Park player in two sets
Seaman then won his third match in consolation play in three sets
Seaman then won his fourth match in consolation round action in two sets
he’ll return for more action today
A.J. Padilla won his first match over a Chicago player in three sets
the RCHS junior lost his second match to a Wheaton St. Francis player in two sets
Padilla was then eliminated in his third match in consolation round action in two sets
the double elimination tournament continues today and finishes up tomorrow
