(NEWTON/OLNEY) in Bass Fishing yesterday –
there were 20 boats and 40 fishermen at the Clinton Lake Sectional
with the top ten teams advancing to the State Tournament next weekend
Shelbyville boat #1 won the event with a total catch of 18.75 pounds
Teutopolis boat #1 finished in second place at 18.59 pounds

Arthur-Lovington-Atwood-Hammond boat #1 was third at 14.17 pounds
Mahomet-Seymour boat #1 was fourth at 13.86 pounds
Newton boat #1 was fifth at 13.12 pounds

the other advancing boats were from
Calvary Christian Academy/Normal, Flanagan-Cornell, Varna Midland
Effingham St. Anthony, and Argenta-Oreana
among the 20 boats at the Lake of Egypt Sectional advancing
Salem, Joppa-Maple Grove, Highland, Triad, Du Quoin, Waltonville,
Herrin, Benton, Highland, and Goreville
the State Bass Fishing Tournament is next Friday and Saturday on Lake Shelbyville
