(OLNEY/NEWTON) It’s another day of warmer-than-normal weather conditions today on this Thursday, with plenty of sunshine and dry conditions as well. An approaching storm system will bring us a moderate risk of severe storms by tomorrow night continuing into the early part of Saturday morning. Extremely strong winds as prompted the National Weather Service to issue a Wind Advisory for our entire listening area for Friday afternoon through early Saturday morning. Then we’re dry and cooler for Sunday and Monday. Stay tuned for updates and monitor a NOAA Weather Alert Radio for forecast details.
(OLNEY) The warm and mild weather brought us a high temperature of 78 degrees here at the south edge of Olney yesterday afternoon, at our National Weather Service WVLN-WSEI Weather Station. It tied the record high for March 12th, originally set 53 years ago, in 1972.
