(NEWTON) in High School Softball yesterday –  

Newton opened up the spring season with a win at home 

the Lady Eagles defeated Red Hill, 13-1 in five innings  

Lexie Ghast was the winning pitcher, striking out three in two innings of work 

Clarie Probst led Newton at the plate with a triple, two singles, and four RBI 

Audrie Reich and Karly Deckard each had two hits 

Newton is scheduled to host Cumberland this Friday at 4:30
