SATURDAY (4/25/26) : it’s the OPL’s Used Book Sale from 10:00 to 4:00 with hardback books at $1.00 each and paper back books at 50 cents apiece – books can still be donated at the OPL
THURSDAY (4/23/26) : youngsters are invited to the 3D Print Club at 4:00 to learn how to design and use 3D printing software and create their own build – all are invited

LOCAL AND AREA REMINDERS
(OLNEY) The Richland County HEA will host a special program this coming Tuesday evening at the Extension Office Meeting Room in Olney, starting at 6:30. The free program will feature Jason Kern, Chief Operations Officer from TrustBank, as he educates the community on how to recognize and prevent fraud before it happens. He’ll talk about spotting the red flags that scammers use to connect with victims through social media, emails, texts, and calls, plus he’ll share with those attending how to guard one’s personal information and finances from the most high-tech scams. It’s free to all HEA members and to the public next Tuesday night at 6:30.
(OLNEY) The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Olney VFW Post is this coming Sunday afternoon at 4:00, with the $1.00 tickets on sale all this week and always open to the public. This week’s jackpot should be over $18,600 to the winner, who must be present to win. Only 21 cards are left. All proceeds support the VFW Post Home, along with local Veterans and their families.
(OLNEY) The Olney Memorial VFW Post and its Auxiliary will host a joint fundraising “spaghetti lunch” this coming Sunday, with serving from 11:00 to 1:00. For $10.00 a person, get a plate of spaghetti, garlic bread, salad, and dessert, with all proceeds raised to help the Post buy new chairs for the VFW Hall. That’s at 205 North Walnut Street in Olney this Sunday.
(OLNEY) The Mt. Gilead Church has another fundraising cookout coming up this Saturday for its upcoming Mission Trip to Guatemala in July. It will be pork burgers and pulled pork for sale from 10:00 to 12:30 Saturday at the Big R Store in Olney. It’s good food for a great cause.
(OLNEY) If it runs, drive it or ride it this Saturday morning for a “Cars-n-Coffee” Cruise-In at H.V.’s in Olney from 7:00 to 11:00. It’s all in memory of Harold Murbarger. All are invited.
(NEWTON) The next Queen of Hearts drawing at the Newton American Legion Post 20 is this Friday night at 6:30, with the jackpot now sitting at $101,130. This weekend’s Queen’s Menu includes pork burgers, bratwursts, pork nachos, and pulled pork sandwiches served with fries or chips for $8 to $10. It’s dine in or carry out at 108 East Jourdan Street in Newton Friday night.
