the Class 1A State Track Meet finished at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston
Newton tied for 28th place with three other teams
The Lady Eagles had three top ten finishers among the 18 total state events
Emma Schumacher, Mariah McVicar, Morgan Schafer, Stella Schackmann / 2nd / 400 m relay
Stella Schackmann was 8th in the 100 meter dash
Layna Marshall, Avery Geier, Brooke Gentry, Grace Schumacher / 9th / 3200 meter relay
Stella Schackmann was 21st in the long jump
Emma Schumacher tied for 21st in the pole vault
