(SPRINGFIELD) In yesterday’s USDA Illinois Ag Prices Received Report : the January Ag Production Index was down 1.4% from December and down 10% from January 2023 : the Crop Production Index was down 3.4% from December and down 17% from a year ago : the Livestock Production Index was up 4.6% from December, but down seven-tenths (0.7%) of a percentage point from last year : producers received lower prices during January for corn, soybeans, & milk, but higher prices for broilers, market eggs, & calves. There was decreased monthly movement for cattle and milk, but an increase for beans, corn, and eggs.
