(OLNEY) The Richland County School Board of Education met in special session for a little over one hour last night in Olney. After hearing from several residents regarding the Athletic Complex concerning the new tennis courts, and after hearing from a concerned citizen about the overall project cost and design of the Athletic Complex, the Board approved a change order with GeoSurfaces for $200,000 to change the tennis court orientation to north/south, instead of east/west. A Board member also addressed the community about social media comments made earlier this week. The next regular meeting for the Richland County School Board is May 21st, 2026.
