(SPRINGFIELD) The Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation has launched a new online submission option for statewide consumers to file complaints against financial institutions. It was last year in 2025 that Illinois consumers submitted 244,000 complaints to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, an increase of more than 120,000 from the previous year. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service issued the alert for meat and poultry products containing FDA-regulated diary ingredients. WEEKLY CROP PROGRESS/CONDITIONS REPORT

(SPRINGFIELD) Illinois corn and soybean farmers have reached the halfway point in the 2026 spring planting season. The USDA’s latest crop progress and condition report released this past Sunday showed 54% of the statewide corn was planted, in line with the five-year average pace, and 57% of Illinois’ soybean crop is in the ground, which is 10% ahead of average.
