(OLNEY/NEWTON) The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Board of Trustees met for its regular monthly meeting in November last night in Fairfield. The Board : approved the payment of all bills as presented : approved a resolution establishing a 2023 estimated Tax Levy for taxes due and collectible in 2024 : approved two bids from Bison Aerial Equipment – $62,323 for a bucket truck and $52,815 for a digger derrick truck, both to replace LTC trucks lost in the March 2023 tornado : agreed to lease two 2024 vehicles from the LTC Foundation : approved an agreement with SIU to continue the Motorcycle Rider Program for the four IECC colleges : approved affiliation agreements with Clay County Rehabilitation Center, the Edwards County Health Office, the IECC System Office, and SIHF Healthcare : approved two policy updates as presented : and in personnel matters – approved a temporary change in employment for Russell Carie from Part-Time Operations/Maintenance to Temporary Full-Time Maintenance Worker at WVC – approved employment status changes for Brianna Simpson from FCC Office Assistant to Office Assistant at the Small Business Development Center, for Candice Young from TRIO Upward Bound Counselor to TRIO Upward Bound Coordinator at LTC, for Jamie Barbee from TRIO Upward Bound Coordinator at LTC to OCC, and for Quianna McGee from Part-Time to Full-Time Coordinator of Public Info and Marketing at WVC – and hired Jena Combs as Music/Instrumental Instructor at LTC : the IECC Board hold a special meeting on December 12th at Lincoln Trail College at 9:30 that morning to serve as an official Board Retreat and Planning Session : the Board’s next regular meeting is later that evening, December 12th, starting at 4:30, there near Robinson.
